Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Culicidae ? in rockrose flower (southern Spain)

In my experience, it's exceptional to find Nematoceran flies feeding on exposed floral nectar. I'd appreciate any hint on this specimen, shot on a flower of Cistus monspeliensis (Cistaceae) in Sierra de Cazorla, southeastern Spain, 2 June 2016

Appears to be an Aedes male - but I don't recognise the species

It is Aedes geniculatus or echinus.
