Elachiptera diastema Collin, 1946, Chloropidae. One of the easily to identify Elachiptera species with its truncate scutellum with widely separated apical scutellar bristles. The dark apical part of the hind femur is also characteristic, as well the relatively short wings. Note also the pubescent hind part of the scutum. I reared this phytosaprophagous species from different grasses. 95 articles and books treat this species.
