Chloropidae, Oscinellinae: Surely a Siphunculina Rondani, 1856 species with broken off wings, very short bristles are typical. The species partly develop in excrements and are known as eye gnats (of the subtropical and tropical countries of the Old World). Such species are vectors of harmful bacteria. Swarms and resting aggregations have been reported.
