Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Yucatan Syrphidae

No notch in the back of the eye and it doesn't look Toxomerus-like. What could be the genus?
Location: Ek-Balam, Yucatan province, Mexico.

A male of Dioprosopa (Pseudodoros) clavatus, spread through middle and southern america.

Thanks for your reply.
If I understand correctly, the genus Dioprosopa (or Pseudodoros) contains only two species while just one of them is present in Mexico: Dioprosopa clavata.
Couldn’t we therefore assume that this is D. clavata?
