This time I am bragging, more than enquiring.
Some of my friends produce delightful shots of delightful organisms, and Lynette Knott Rudman of Grahamstown, South Africa, more than most.
I don't know this small Bombyliid, and for all I know it might not be well known if at all. If it is unknown, enjoy, and if there are comments and opinions, they will be welcome.
Found in garden on a small flower, its body length is decidedly less than 1cm.

This is the same fly, but showing the venation more usably.
The little white spots are unlikeany other species I have seen, but being so symmetrical, they must be characteristic of the species and not from any external source

Thank you John, that is almost certainly correct. Lynette appreciated your helpfulness and expertise.
