Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tachinidae, Compsilura concinnata ?

Hello,

A Tachinidae seems emerged of a Acronicta rumicis pupa, the may 04 2014, the caterpillar was found in a garden, in north of France, Oxelaere (59670)
maybe Compsilura concinnata ?

They are nearly always very white-faced with facial ridge bristles extending up about half way or more. In the last photo I might also squint and convince myself that I can see the saw-toothed ventral edge of the tergites, typical in females :)

an obvious clue of course is that the ocellar bristles are lacking.
