In the Nearctic key the narrow occiput and complete wing venation with stub of M2 would make it
Verralia (Verrallia). I don't know what else there is in Europe with that combination of characters.

as far as I know the genus, like the other genera, are not very well studied in the Netherlands. At least I have seen very few papers about it.

Should be a male Verrallia aucta.
