Thank you for the pictures Atylotus, they match up perfectly with the actual pupa. And, thank you Tony for the extra information. Can you by any chance tell me what those three species are?

The first imago emerged yesterday morning, and I did take pictures, but it may be a while before I can upload them.

Thank you again for all the assistance, I'll update the photos as soon as possible. It is a beautiful gray fly with white abdominal bands. and red eyes.
