Hello,

New to diptera.info, this is my first post!

I wonder whether this fly, found on 31/12/2006 at 2:00 am by a very warm night (~ 14?C) and attracted by light, is or not a Dryomyzidae.
The fly was big (between 10 and 15 mm, roughly) and did make a loud noise when flying. Pictures taken in Cuigy (France, 60), Picardy.

(I will put those images on the gallery soon as those links won't be permanent.)

Hi Daniel.
You are right, this nice fly is winter form of Dryomyza flaveola, Dryomyzidae.
