I found this spectacular antennaed Tachinid in the outskirts of Madrid yesterday April the 14th 2013, chalk-land area by a lagoon. It was sitting on a rock, but it was there only for two seconds and moved to another spot on the same rock. It was like this for half an hour. A nightmare to photograph, but that was part of the fun :D
I think it might be a Wagneriini: very long subapical scutellar bristles, erect bristles on the scutellum, very bristly face, typical petiole,... But I cannot find anything that fits :( :( Perhaps a
Wagneria?? But it doesn't look like the
Wagneria I usually see. I am totally confused.
Help, pleaaaase!! :o Thanks!! ;)
