Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Surinamese Lauxaniidae: Setulina geminata (to be confirmed)

Setulina have hairs on Basal part of the radial vein, one is not going to see these in a photograph. But Setulina geminata is cosmopolitan in the tropical Americas, and looks much like yours.

Maybe Steve Giamari would know this species from sight?
