Actually Tabanus spp. of quatuornotatus group have hairy eyes too. My doubts was exactly about the pubescense of the eyes;) Shape of the frontal calli and polished subcallus strongly suggests T. quatuornotatus (see here http://www.dipter...to_id=3393).
