Hi, I found this Miltogrammine fly on 19.05.2012, near Mórahalom, about 20 km. W. of Szeged, S. Hungary. The reason I think it is P. penicillaris is that I found a description of several Pterella sp. here:

http://archive.org/details/spixiana2426199799zool

and I believe I can see a small bunch of long setae originating from the penultimate tarsal joint of the fist leg, a character that seems specific to P. penicillaris (where the name derives from, I presume).

Can someone confirm or correct this ID?

Best regards,

Henrik
