Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Anthomyiid or very small Muscid?

Hello!

The everlasting question... This one from a tree trunk in our garden today (Ostwestfalen/Germany) was not much bigger than the Drosophilids nearby, only about 4 mm. What could it be? Thanks!

i would go for Anthomyiidae female--- ? Let?s go to know if this is a blunder. :)

J?rgen, please mind the size of the pictures. These are 800 pixels wide and they strech the window too much.

Sorry, I thought 800 pixels were the limit. I'm always afraid of losing too many details with smaller sizes, especially when even the original pics are not very sharp. I have now resized them to 640x480.
