Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Pipunculidae? -> Nephrocerus flavicornis

Is this a Pipunculidae? (maybe Nephrocerus?) Much bigger (body length 7 mm) than other Pipunculidae I have seen. Collected in southernmost Sweden june 23.

Using the key of GROOTAERT and DE MEYER (1986) I have concluded that this is flavicornis.

"Hind tibiae broadened at tip and with an apical
fringe of stiff brown bristles (fig. 8) ; these are
somewhat weaker in female than in male ; antennae
entirely yellow ; arista yellow at base but black at
apical part."
