Hello!
Numerously sunbathing on tree trunks in the last days were these 10 mm flies. Is this a
Phaonia species (also numerous at the same places was
P. subventa)? Thanks in advance!

Hello Juergen, yes this is Phaonia. I cannot tell you which species though.
