I would agree, Tolmerus atricapillus is the most common robberfly of the Netherlands.

Your area seems pretty interesting. Levelling trees might be a good thing fot the Asilidae as many species like warmth and light. i think i wil do some investigation in the area of Maarn, probably toward Austerlitz or Leusder heide.;)
