Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Handsome Big Fly on Flower

Seen today visiting flowers and resting on a leaf in the sun. From far at first glance thought of a bumblebee, so big it seemed. Well, not that big, but very attractive indeed.
Who knows it?
Location: Near Luebeck, Northern Germany.
