Must be Trichocera hiemalis, the most common of the wintermidges, right?

As far as I know the banded abdomen rules out hiemalis, and from the UK key it looks like T. annulata.

Hi Martin,

I found just one image of annulata and indeed those bands do show. So I will call it Trichocera annulata. Thanks.
