Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Flies Blow Bubbles, Bees Too

Since fly bubble-blowing has been a topic of interest here, I thought I would post my image from July showing a metallic bee blowing a bubble. Presumably the reasons for bee bubble blowing would be the same as for Diptera?

I think bees are supposed to do this to help evaporate water to concentrate the nectar. Not sure it's the same reason flies do it but seems extremely likely to me.
