Ohh, missed this picture before ... so this is what that Black guy looks like :)
How many insects did you two collect during your stay in Turkey, if I may ask!? Only diptera or other orders too? I also wonder how many photos you took during the one week(?) stay ... This summer I took about 1400 photos (many alt exposures) during my three week holiday. If I would have had my new DSLR camera then I would probably have taken even more.

Hi crex,
Nikita could give you an estimate of Diptera species collected. Of course we also collected other insects, especially Coleoptera with good chances to identify them all, but also a considerable number of Hymenoptera, Heteroptera, Lepidoptera, Orthoptera, etc. I've made around 2,000 pictures in 9 days, with a large portion of landsapes, sea views, and plants, though.

Thnx. Interesting. Two thousand photos is impressing. I guess Nikita too took quite a few. Have you considered
publishing a report or diary from this trip? B)
