I've seen this fly quite a few times but have never been able to get an ID, it's quite a stunner with its shimmering blue bands on the abdomen
Would appreciate any help

Calliphora vicina female. I agree this is a very handsome fly. Look out too for its cousin
C. vomitoria which has a ginger beard!

I have seen C. vomitoria great fly too- my photos aren't quite as good though
