Hi

It was very cold and I can see snow on the top of the hills . . Last year there were a lot of different hoverlies on my balcony at this time. The last weeks were very cold. E. tenax and Episyrphus balteatus are still visiting my few flowers. Until today: another guest:
Could this be Meliscaeva auricollis, a male? Last year a had late in the year a female.

Switzerland, balcony, 412 msm, 28.10.2010

Thanks for any help!
Best regards, Brigitte
