Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Nuptial gift in Asilidae?

Recently I have seen several couples of Asilidae and the female had a prey.
Is it a nuptial gift as Empididae do?

The photo are taken in Sierra Nevada, southern Spain, in August, at 2400 masl
If possible, I appreciate the IDs

Yes. And the "nuptial gift " is a Lispe sp. (Muscidae) :D

It seems to be Machiremisca decipiens, but we have to check the genitalia. Please add a detailed image.
