Here I show a very little robberfly. I photographed this fly today in a heathen landscape. Who can inform me which fly I photographed?

Photo: Germany - Wesel(NRW) - Heaten landscape - 02.09.2006

That, people, is why I love britons. David, will you marry me?

Best Wishes,

The name is: Tolmerus cingulatus (in older keys: Machimus cingulatus). Quite to very common in the landscape you described.
