Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tephritidae?

Hello

This tiny fly (about 3 mm) was sun bathing on a Centaurea paniculata along an edge row near a dry meadow.
I think it coud be a Tephritidae, something like Chaetorellia or Orellia. I looked at the gallery but... And my photos are not so good.

Thank you Valery. With such a species name, may I suppose that it's dependent on genus Centaurea ?

Surely; larvae in flowerhead galls on Centaurea nigra and C. jacea.

Additional comment: some Alpine and possibly other populations show intermediate morphological features beltween U. jaceana and U. affinis, either being of hybrid or intermediate origin, but their status is obscure.
