I'm working at a supplier of greenhouse films and got questions which part of the light spectrum flies use to orientate themselves. What are the experiences? Thanks for your answers.

I have worked for a number of years on the physiology of fly vision. Responses vary according to species. Flies respond strongly to ultra violoet light - hence the many fly killers in stores emplying UV light. Otherwise it is the green yellow spectrum which attract many flying insects behaviourally.
