Good to see a dorsal shot here. (Months ago I'd bumped into the nice lateral oviposition photo on Flickr.)

This is Monoceromyia javana...for details (including links to keys, original descriptions, and more) see the comments thread below this iNat post of M. javana.

[Note: For those who prefer to assign the rank of subgenera to the traditional subtribe-level groupings within Cerioidini...this would be best be referred to as Ceriana (Monoceromyia) javana. Some might use the binomial Ceriana javana -- but that causes much confusion among many people who might misconstrue the binomial as suggesting this is a member of the subgenus Ceriana...and/or may think that Monoceromyia javana and Ceriana javana refer to separate species.]
