The fly is known under the name Otites jucunda Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830. Your specimen is quite an aberrant one, as it has dark femora and tarsi. The species called Otites formosa Pancer apparently does not occur in France, possibly, except for North, their boundary is apparently the Alb Mts and Rhine valley, however, there is almost no data from Benelux and bordering parts of Germany and France.

The names are also provisory, because neither formosa, nor jucunda are valid.

Thenks to Elena Kameneva, who kindly shared some results from her forthcoming revision of Otites.
