More like Pollenia sp. - Calliphoridae. Note the golden hairs on the thorax and the uneven, 'broken' grey dusting on the abdomen.

I think you are right, thanks. A pity that the goldenhairs are not really made of gold or are they;)

The golden hairs are a bit of a mystery. Sometimes I think they are there just to make it easier for us to identify Pollenia! :D
All the species have them when they emerge, but drop them during the summer and autumn, so that when they emerge after hibernation many are almost completely bare of them. What function they serve is still unknown (at least to me!).
