Hi,
I'm a bit loose with the family of this fly. It's in bad condition but is there enough visible to say abouth the family ? July 18.2008 Loviisa, Finland.

Yes, I had once more a closer look and Tachinidae it is. I must rename the thread but don't expect much from a fly in this condition.

It's quite interesting - even if it is a bit tiny and grey (like
Actia or
Phytomyptera). The second segment of the arista is very long though (like
Triarthria but this doesn't have a lot of parafacial bristles), and it should be ringing alarm bells with me but I can't think what it might be :)

could be many things from a small Meigenia to Paracraspedothrix.
Too much guessing even for my taste
