Robert, I have no editing software on this machine, but if you start at the bottom right corner of this picture and work upwards, the first vein is the costa, the next is called R(2+3) and the third I think is R(4+5) - I think I was wrong to call it R3+4; I think some older books just call this one 'Vein 3'. R1 ('Vein 1' in the old system) joins the costa just after the middle of the picture. (In some flies the radial vein has more divisions, hence the odd names.) You can see the hairs on R4+5 around the centre of the image. Confused? No doubt someone will correct me if I've got this wrong:)
