Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tachinidae -> Meigenia sp. (w)

Hello,
this nice tachinidae is from july from a roadside in southern germany. Lenght was about 6mm. What genus or species is it?

Hello Michael,
My first guess would be
Meigenia sp. In general, lateral views are much more informative with tachinids.

I didn't dare to publish it because of so much uncertainty, but now Jaakko has broken the ice:
female Meigenia was my thought as well.

Hello Theo, hello Jaakko,
thank you for your answers. The fly isn't for publishing, just for my own photo collection. So uncertainity is ok. I overlooked my holyday pictures again, but there is no lateral view.
