Hello all,
This is the only angle I have for this fly observed in Spa (Belgium) on August 12th 2009. Size was approx. like a House-fly. What puzzles me most is the apparent biting mouth parts, looking similar to those of Stomoxys calcitrans. Any idea ??
Thanks for your suggestions
Philippe

Tachinidae: Siphona?

I'd say Siphona too - just long, hinged mouthparts used to drink nectar from deep flowers :)
