A couple of weeks ago I posted a Tachinid fly that was identified as a male Ectophasia crassipennis and I wonder if I have found the female? :)

This one dates from 13th July, nature reserve, Gent Belgium..

Looks like a female - but Tachina (possibly magnicornis, from the wide frons and dark front tarsi) :) Ectophasia spp. do not have the strong bristles that other tachinids (like this one) have :)
