Otites jucunda R.-D. is the temporary working name (junior synonym used until the whole complex of species is revisited and entirely revised by Elena Kameneva). O. formosa is a different species occurring in Germany (except in Wuerttemberg, where also jucunda occurs) and eastwards; that name, in fact, is also unavailabe,.. :o

We'd greatly appreciate keeping this species in 96% alcohool in the refrigerator freezing chamber, if possible: there is a need to have a genetically marked type specimen from France for DNA sequence, as this species is the type species of the whole genus Otites.

i am deeply sorry but i do not collect flies or other animals ... i just "shot" them !! ;)
