Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tachinid: Gastrolepta anthracina ?

Drenthe again...I found these at several places on woodland edges. Browsing through the gallery, I found Gastrolepta anthracina as best match. Is it indeed this species?

Are you sure it is the same specimen ?

The first one looks like Gastrolepta, the second one MEdina

I'm sure they are different specimens! But I - wrongly - assumed same species because overall impression is so similar: long legs, wing venation. I assume they are closely related?

btw, is 'looks like' reasonably certain?
