Is it a Lucilia ?

Either that or illustris. Can't really tell for certain from photos unfortunately. What sort of habitat was it? Illustris is almost ubiquitous in Europe and much more synanthropic. Caesar is a woodland species.

I found it in my garden, but there are wooded areas around.

Can't really see the marginals well enough to be sure, and I find even with really good photos it is really hard to make a determination for these two species. I'm leaning towards illustris though.
