Hi David,
thank you for your answer!
In the catalogue of the diptera in Bavaria these Villa-species are enlisted:

Villa cingulata (Meigen, 1804)
Villa circumdata (Meigen, 1820)
Villa hottentotta (Linnaeus, 1758)
Villa humilis (Ruthe, 1831)
Villa modesta (Meigen, 1820)
Villa occulta (Wiedemann, 1824)
Villa paniscus (Rossi, 1790)

Unfortunately the only one of those with a picture in the gallery here is V. hottentotta. V.venusta is not included. Could it be it's an old name or synonym for one of the enlisted-ones?

The V. venusta pics in the gallery (matching mine quite well) are from Nauders/Tyrol, which is in the wrong corner of Tyrol (opposite to the Tyrolean northern border, which is only a few kms away from the location where I found my fly) for me to say maybe it spent a visit in Bavaria :-)

Best greetings
Rupert
