This is a Muscid. Maybe Hydrotaea sp, male.

Thanks Gabor, Kahis and Stephane for the input. H.dentipes looks about right to me, and is on my checklist. Maybe Nikita will have a look at it, as he seems to be the Dogs Bo****ks on these, going by the Gallery. Not that I doubt your judgement guys. I'm sure this little fly will be proud of his new Latin name whatever it turns out to be.
