Does anyone know the identity of the midge on the photo? Which family, possibly species?

I cannot say for certain. It either is Chironomidae or Ceratopogonidae. I am inclined to say Chironomidae but then I probably contradict myself because
here I say that the 'brush-like' plumosa antennae should indicate Ceratopogonidae. Still, size, posture and (what is visible of) wing venation make me think that it is Chironomidae.

Macropelopia nebulosa, Chironomidae according to Fliegen und Mucken, Natur Buch Verlag. :)

Thanks Paul! That book is nearby. I tried it, but could not find it in there and knowing that there are many midges...
