is this a Cheilosia spec? Which one? or: What else?
Hagen (NRW, Germany), May 15th 2008, artificial alder marshland, 175 m above sea level

it is indeed a Cheilosia sp., but it is difficult to say what species (at least for me:()

Female Cheilosia albitarsis, you are probably lucky you didn't find it on Ranunculus! :D Normally this species is always on Ranunculus.
There is another species that looks like it (C. ranunculi), but that one is usually a lot rarer than this one!
