20 April 2008, NB, Canada. Length: 4mm

This female looks different from the one I posted recently SEE HERE. Signicantly smaller. Has 2 pairs of prosternal bristles.

HI Tony,
I see: one central cheek bristle, three pairs of dorsocentral bristles, one ventropapical seta on each tibia, ?two pairs of fronto-orbitals or 3 on the right side and two on the left only.
Really two pairs of prosternal bristles are present ?.

This female look like a representative of Tephrochlamys than a Heleomyza species :o

My error, no prosternal bristles; the bristles are on the mesosternum.
Looks like 2 pairs of fronto-orbitals.

Thanks Andrzej, you certainly know your Heleomyzids.
