Can you confirm
Phaonia subventa? 19.05.2026 in our garden in Rheinbach near Bonn/Germany. 210m above sea level, huge forest near by. About 5-6mm Thank you for your help, Jörg

P. rufiventris? Nevertheless: 5-6 mm are too small for a
Phaonia.

I think P. rufiventris is a good possibility: 1 pair of pre-sutural acs and more than 2 strong setae on tibia 2. Hackston's key to British Phaonias gives 6mm as the low value for P. rufiventris and 7mm for P. subventa so not entirely impossible.

Many thanks to both of you. The size is more or less guesswork - it was sitting rather far away inside a patch of
Urtica, photography was only possible from a weird angle.
