Hello,
this fly of the genus Morellia was found in a marsh on the edge of a wood on a bindweed plant.

Locality :Nalliers 85370 West of France
Body length : 10 mm.

Is it possible to identify Morellia simplex (female) from this single photo?

Most probably Morellia simplex. However: (1) only probably; (2) it is male.
