For the Pyrenees record I rely on https://diptera.i...d_id=77872. It is unstated which side of the border the fly was on.

I have seen many maps of fly distribution showing a species common along the southern border of Canada but absent from adjacent USA. Such maps show collecting habits, not distribution. If Minettia pseudoinusta is found in the Pyrenees of Spain it is probably found in the Pyrenees of France. Whether it continues north into the lowlands I can't say.
