Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Neu-Lankau near Mölln, cultivated field right by the
Elbe-Lübeck-Canel, at
Beta vulgaris, length of the midge: 6.5 mm. Outsidephotos: kuv, 7th of August 2023. I could not find such a midge either in the Diptera-Gallery nor in the threads. Comparing some pictures of the family I think it is a female. Please help to get the ID.

Hello,
possibly something like
Leia subfasciata? But that is only a layish guess.

after asking an expert I got a private message:"
... This gnat is Leia fascipennis, a common species, which is often found on tree foliage. Most Leia including subfasciata have some dark markings on the abdomen ..."
