No, tenax. Markings on T2 very reddish and extending to T3. Front and middle tibia dark. (Typical hair bands on eyes not visible from this angle)

Finally I could reduce my 150 Eristalis photos to just 43 images. I had vast numbers of images of tenax and arbustorum, these are the most easily found species here. Also pertinax seems to be quite common from August to October, but not as much as the two other species. The other species that I managed to find (rupium, interrupta, intricaria) are much much scarcer and I observed only one specimen each.
