Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Hybomitra solstitialis? Nope, it's Hybomitra tarandina

Hi all!

Is it possible to confirm (or correct) Hybomitra solstitialis with these frontal pictures? It's the closest I can find in Theo's book (eye pattern, orange antennas).
On the second pic one can see, that the femurs of the frontal legs are mostly black.

Unfortunately it flew away without allowing me a dorsal or lateral pic.

About as big as my well known alltime friend H. auripila.

3.6.2023, Germany, Upper Bavaria, Northern slopes of Mt. Hochfelln, close to side summit called "Bründlinkopf", on a meadow used as ski slope during winter, about 1190 m a.s.l., coordinates 47.76938, 12.56328.
