Center of France (Loiret) on 23.05.2023 near a smal pond on bamboo leaf.

It is one of the predatory Ceratopogoninae, in tribe Sphaeromiini, Heteromyiini, or Palpomyiini, in the broad senses because I think some of the traditional tribes have been split recently.
